...be it a flickr contact, a professional photographer with a homepage of their own (no spam, of course), someone you know, or a newspaper publication, if you find a picture you like, share it! :)

    I'll just start...

Weird and weirder. Salvadore Dali photgraphed by David Bailey (1972). I think it sums up the characters of both a great artist and a great photographer.

:) I remember how a classmate, when our arts teacher introduced us to Dali's works, kept avoiding her gaze very demonstratively - and when he asked her what her behaviour was about, she explained Dali was an "evil, crazy mind, mad, crazy - keep him away from me!" He made it a point to chase her a bit down the corridor after class with a book of Dali prints, which she fled, in all earnest, like a vampire a cross. They were both crazy.

Lester Hayes, now at 100 years old, was the pioneer of abstract photography. His main camera was a simple Kodak Instamatic. A good exponent of knowing how to get the best out of your equipment.

He is interviewed HERE with some more examples of his work.

I found a page that does what I was trying to do with this thread:

imgfave | share your visual inspiration

If you have a facebook account, you can just log in.
The nice thing: It automatically adds the source. I hate it when I find a picture in the net via stumble upon ajnd there is no source or hint where it comes from. I saw several pieces of art floating just today I knew, and also knew they were much more interesting in their contert - not to speak about the credit given.

    Here's mine.
