For example, Angua and Carrot got together only because Angua was planning on leaving straight after. Vimes even said at the start of men at arms &#039;forget about love thats a tricky word for the over-fifties&#039;, it just seems to me that TP makes every relationship seem like one of the partners is always trying to run away from it. Guards! for the first time in a long while and I must admit that as I read it, I thought back to the discussion on who could play Vimes, and the suggestion of Hugh Laurie, and thought that yes, actually, he would be just right...  and then I saw Nobby.  Yes, I mean saw him, as in looked in to my brain and there he was sitting, sucking at a dog-end...<br />

A friend of mine and I were having a disscusion not so long ago about wether Sam Vimes had more authority that Vetinari. This just resulted in both of us getting confused.<br />
My view on it was going by the titles, beause Vetinari is a Lord and Vimes is a Duke (a Duke being more powerful than a Lord), but then Vetinari <span style="text-decoration: underline">is</span> the ruler of Ank Morpork. So if he was to retire (I doubt it) Vimes would have more authority than Vetinari. Wouldn&#039;t he? <br />
My friend just confused the conversation...<br />

This time I spent almost 3 weeks - savouring each page as I never have done before. I&#039;ve read all the discworld novels and enjoyed every single one, but to me SNUFF is the best ever. I slightly missed DEATH, but only very slightly. The commander was at his best. Terry, I was sad when only one book started to come out a year. But this was worth the wait. Please, please continue giving us all so much...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I could do him a few posters to advertise his birthday at his office.  I know he&#039;s a Pratchett fan so I redesigned an unused poster I had done for an amateur dramatic society hoping to perform Cabaret.<br />

The result looked great when it was printed on photographic paper and laminated.  Those fluorescent marker pens you can get write well on the plastic surface.<br />
