Now if someone had told them at that point "Book your accomodation well ahead", think how much more work would have to go into Christmas cribs - straw and a few model animals wouldn't do it, it would have to be a furnished inn room! "Away in a Cot in a Room in an Inn" doesn't work too well either! And the inn would probably have refused entry to the shepherds (class prejudice) - and possibly even the Wise Men/Kings (race prejudice)!

Ah things are ok (apart from people hitting me with shit in a bag), I keep calling in occassionally and seeing what you are all up to, although I haven't posted for a while, I just watch from a distance like Rinso in park bushes near a children's playground. Could someone explain the second Xmas comic to me? The first one is perfect. The second one... I don't get it.
In the second one, carrot represents the school choir singing a 'traditional' nativity play. To be honest, I've never heard that song before, but I did manage to extrapolate that that was what Doors meant - after he clarified of course... Phlon, just blame Doors. It's easy and slightly more appropriate in this case.

This song has been about at least since I was young - it is one of those that the tune if not the lyrics tend to get included in piped music in shops, etc. as we come up to Christmas. A Yahoo search came up with this - the tune is certainly the right one - click on the standard "Play" symbol - I don't know if it works for everybody - the words are familiar, so I presume they are right as well.
